SPSP Transforms to EnergyTech

During the Human Capability Initiative (HCI) in Riyadh, held under the esteemed patronage of HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Human Capability Development Program Committee, HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, the Minister of Energy, made a significant announcement regarding the future direction of Saudi Petroleum Services Polytechnic (SPSP).

HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman Al-Saud revealed a bold new strategy and rebranding of SPSP, marking a significant milestone in the evolution of energy sector training. The institute will now be known as EnergyTech, a name reflecting its forward-looking approach and global aspirations.

Established in 2008, SPSP has been instrumental in training professionals for the petroleum industry, boasting state-of-the-art facilities in Dammam and Al-Khafji and graduating over 13,000 Saudi professionals. It has played a vital role in fulfilling the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

Aligned with Vision 2030’s focus on human capital development, SPSP embarked on a transformative journey to ensure its programs and services meet the evolving needs of the energy sector. This transformation culminated in the rebranding to EnergyTech, symbolizing its commitment to global excellence and innovation in energy sector training.

Under the banner of EnergyTech, several transformative initiatives have been launched:

  • Expansion of Vocational Training Institutes: EnergyTech has expanded its presence in Saudi Arabia by establishing a fourth training center in the Western Region, solidifying its position as a leading vocational training provider.
  • Advanced Refining & Petrochemical Specialty Training: EnergyTech is offering advanced programs through partnerships with esteemed institutions like IFP to address downstream challenges and foster professional development.
  • Energy Leadership Development Program: A comprehensive leadership program has been initiated to cultivate frontline supervisors, promoting performance and sustainability across industries.
  • Largest Certification Hub in KSA and the Region: EnergyTech aims to become a certification hub for critical energy, construction, and industrial crafts in the region, ensuring adherence to safety and business standards.
